Chalk Talks

What is a Chalk Talk?

Once a month, Harvard students, postdocs, staff, & faculty gather to share, discuss, and productively critique the latest and greatest work-in-progress and evolving stories from the many labs around campus. At each Chalk Talk, a presenter leads an informal seminar over lunch with chalk and a board as the only visual aid.

A boxed lunch is provided, and advance registration is required.

Who are Chalk Talks for?

In order to promote the sharing of unpolished works-in-progress among colleagues, chalk talks are restricted to Harvard affiliates only. This means audience members, either in-person or virtual, are expected to be Harvard students or employees.

Any Harvard affiliate can register to attend a Chalk Talk through the Harvard College Calendar.
